The Role
As an Account Director, you'll lead some of the agency's most important client relationships.
You'll be responsible for ensuring strategic alignment, commercial success and exceptional delivery across every project. You'll work closely with our strategists, creatives, digital specialists and leadership team to ensure ideas are translated into work that delivers meaningful business outcomes.
You'll also play a key role in shaping how we work as an agency, improving processes, mentoring team members and identifying opportunities to grow both our clients and our business.
This is a leadership position for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity and momentum to every project.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead strategic relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Become a trusted advisor to your clients, not simply their agency contact.
- Drive integrated marketing projects from briefing through to delivery.
- Ensure projects remain strategically aligned, commercially sound and operationally efficient.
- Work closely with strategy, creative, digital, paid media and production teams to deliver exceptional work.
- Challenge briefs where necessary and help clients define better solutions.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing client partnerships.
- Lead presentations, workshops and strategic discussions with confidence.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, scopes and resource planning.
- Mentor and support Account Managers and more junior team members.
- Help refine agency processes and improve operational excellence across the business.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years' experience within a leading integrated, advertising, digital or communications agency.
- Proven experience leading complex, high-value client relationships.
- Exceptional commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Outstanding organisational and project management skills.
- The ability to juggle multiple clients, deadlines and priorities without compromising quality.
- Strong strategic thinking across brand, communications and digital marketing.
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Calm, decisive leadership under pressure.
- The confidence to make decisions while bringing people with you.
- A natural ability to build trust with both clients and colleagues.
Technical Skills
You should have extensive experience with:
- Integrated campaign management.
- Marketing strategy implementation.
- Project planning and resource management.
- Budget management and forecasting.
- Scope management.
- Client presentations and workshop facilitation.
- Proposal development.
- Brief writing and creative evaluation.
- Commercial negotiations.
- Risk management.
- Production workflows across digital, creative and content.
- Reporting and performance reviews.
Experience with the following platforms would be highly advantageous:
- Monday.com, Asana or ClickUp.
- Google Workspace.
- Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote.
- Google Analytics.
- Meta Business Suite.
- Google Ads.
- CRM platforms.
- AI productivity tools including ChatGPT and modern workflow automation.
You don't need to be a platform specialist, but you should understand how integrated marketing works and be comfortable leading conversations across every discipline.
Bonus Points
Not essential, but we'd love to see experience with:
